Welcome to Double Decker

“ I have lived in San Francisco for 19 years, and I consider myself a foodie. I’ve tried burgers from all over the city. I’ve decided today that Double Decker hands down has the best burger in the city, in my opinion. I’ve been ordering from them for years, and they’re consistently good. For me it’s all the about the western burger. I had another one today, and it was all perfection: the patty, the bun, the mayonnaise, the red onions, the bacon, the pickles, the bbq sauce. Plus, their fries are always crispy and delicious. They do an amazing job. Try it and you won’t be disappointed. ”

“ Amazing restaurant with very good burgers. They were a good size, so you wouldn't feel hungry afterward. Ingredients tasted super fresh, and the meat was cooked to perfection. I also bought garlic fries, which you can't go wrong with, but they did leave a certain taste in my mouth for a few hours afterward, though. Overall, it's a really good restaurant with reasonable priced food that tastes good and fresh. Was a bit surprised that there weren't any people when I walked in, considering the high quality of the food. Nonetheless, I'm definitely returning here next time I'm in the mood for a good burger. ”

“ Now they have Impossible Burgers! (And mine was perfectly cooked which isn't common). My friend got the Niman Ranch burger ($8.95) which he said was great and came with fries. And an extra star because they're super nice here. ”

“ Solid burger spot sitting somewhere between beeps and Wes burger and a lot more mom & pop than both. Doesn’t travel great as the burger tends to be on the juicier side, and the bun on the softer. Not going to win any competitions, but the double decker is a hearty size and is made by someone who knows their burgers. Fries are excellent with a creamy, moist interior and crispy exterior. Could use a little extra salt but they probably do it on purpose so you can choose. The location doesn’t get enough light and is painted dark inside, but don’t let that get you down. If you want a Neighborhood burger that’s a little rough around the edges, but with plenty of soul, come through. ”

“ Seriously the best burger I've ever had in my life. Got the veggie patty (blackbean burger) with a fried egg on top, jalapenos, cheddar cheese. So amazing. Tasted like the ingredients were so fresh, the bun was so flaky and the bun was so crispy. We got onion rings and fries which were solid. Solidly affordable too (well for SF standards). The middle-aged Asian man who makes the burgers is such an artisan. ”

“ Easily one of my favorite burgers anywhere! Pillowy-soft buttery buns, crisp veggies, and a house sauce that ties it all together make for one of the tastiest bites on 24th Street. Staff are friendly and service is always speedy. Not to mention their respectable selection of Mitchell’s ice cream flavors, available by the scoop or in a milkshake. Truly the dankest of the dank. ”
